Each year, Profiles in Diversity Journal creates a list of women executives who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and achievement in their careers. Dr. Gladys Ato, president and provost of NHU, is featured along with representatives from companies and organizations such as United Airlines, Hyatt Hotels, Wal-Mart, Alcoa, Charles Schwab, AT&T and NASA.


NHU Faculty Expert Discusses Role of Early Childhood Educators in a Child’s Transition to Kindergarten
August 7, 2013

Shaun-Adrian Choflá, faculty member in The National Hispanic University’s child development program, took to the radio airwaves during back-to-school time to discuss the important roles parents and early childhood educators play as children transition to kindergarten, as well as how parents can support their child’s new academic skills at home. Professor Choflá participated in broadcasts by 24-7 News and Life Lessons Radio as well as local and regional shows in Atlanta, Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Miami, Minneapolis, San Diego, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C., among others.
