Mascaras! Enrichment for Children  
Tuesday, October 23rd, 4-6PM
Children from surrounding schools and the community at large will be taught how to make and decorate traditional Dia de Los Muertos mascaras (masks).
Reception and Presentation by author and journalist, Mary J. Andrade
Wednesday, October 24th
Join us for a reception at The National Hispanic University and for a wonderful presentation by Mary J. Andrade about her travels to Mexico documenting the Dia de los Muertos tradition covering the festivals in the various regions of the country. This year she plans to cover the festivities at Xcaret, near Cancun. Enjoy her beautiful exhibit of photography of approximately 40 pieces on display. The event will also feature an art exhibit participating 14 different artists and their interpretations of the Day of the Dead.
Altar Making — Enrichment for Children
Thursday, October 25th, 4-6PM
Children will learn the art of building a cultural altar and display for Dia de los Muertos. They will observe and learn from a Master, and will participate in workshops of papel picado.
