Online programs are a great way to learn with the flexibility to complete your coursework when and where it is convenient, with a student support team dedicated to helping you succeed.
To qualify for admission into our online programs, you need to:
Transfer a minimum of 12 credits toward our general education program or your major with a minimum GPA of 2.0 (with a lower GPA, you may request "conditional" admission).
Completed NHU admission application
Official transcript from each college attended (printed in the last five years and sealed by each school)
GPA appeal letter if your high school or secondary school GPA was below 2.0 (for fall admission) and you are seeking "conditional" admission*
*Candidates not meeting these requirements can be considered for conditional admission into an NHU 100% online undergraduate program by submitting a letter of appeal. At a minimum, the candidate must have completed at least one 3-semester credit college-level English or writing course (or the quarter-based course equivalent) and received a minimum "B" grade or better. Other evidence that can be submitted that indicates the candidate would be successful includes (but is not limited to):
Graduation from an online high school.
The transfer of additional coursework taken through online/distance education delivery.
Applicants admitted on a conditional, low GPA must obtain a 2.0 or better in their first semester to continue. Failure to do so may be result in being withdrawn from the university.
